NOF Metal Coatings North America is best known for its GEOMET® product line, which is a global standard for zinc flake coating technology.
All NOF MCNA products are completely chrome-free and are capable of protecting a wide variety of metallic surfaces. The coatings are well suited for protecting both large and small parts, having either simple or complex geometry.
These coatings ensure a high level of corrosion protection at low thickness, and when paired with a top coat from MCNA's PLUS® product line can achieve up to 1,500 hours (to ASTM B117). GEOMET® products are approved by most of the world's major automotive OEM's, and specified across dozens of industries.
NOF MCNA Technologies
Is applied to protect fasteners and many types of metallic parts from corrosion, and is specified in many industries. It can be combined with a PLUS® or GEOKOTE® topcoat to provide a broad range of friction coefficients.
The chrome-free alternative to DACROMET® 500, this coating does not require a top coat due to it's built-in lubricant, and has a controlled CoF of 0.15 ± 0.03 (ISO 16047).
Is applied to protect fasteners and many types of metallic parts from corrosion, and is specified in many industries. It can be combined with a PLUS® topcoat to provide a broad range of friction coefficients.
Provides the performance of the GEOMET® basecoats with a black top coat. If black-on-silver isn't enough, try the GEOMET® 430 black base coat in combination with a black top coat to provide even, consistent black color after handling and damage.
PLUS® Top Coats
The PLUS® product line offers increased corrosion resistance and controls CoF to varying degrees when applied over a GEOMET® base coat. PLUS®, PLUS® M, PLUS® ML, PLUS® VL, PLUS® L, & PLUS® XL have fluorescent pigments embedded to ensure the proper frictional properties are met.
The DACROMET® series of coatings was discontinued by NOF Metal Coatings in recent years. NOF Metal Coatings chrome-free alternatives are classified under the GEOMET® brand name and are readily available for application.
